Steve Poizner, California’s Insurance Commissioner, has announced that he will launch an effort to investigate insurance company investments for ties to Iran.

Steve Poizner, California’s Insurance Commissioner, has announced that he will launch an effort to investigate insurance company investments for ties to Iran and immediately direct California-based insurance companies to reveal any direct holdings in the Iranian government.
The California insurance code prohibits any investment respecting a foreign jurisdiction, or any investment denominated in the currency of that foreign jurisdiction, if that area is designated as a state sponsor...
