The global reinsurance industry is facing a changing international environment, especially with regard to regulatory matters.
In order to address these challenges it is necessary for leading global reinsurers to come together to form the Global Reinsurance Forum (GRF) composed of 11 global reinsurers, whose main objective is to promote a stable, innovative and competitive reinsurance market on a worldwide basis.
Notably, the GRF seeks to develop positions on regulatory, legal, tax and accounting developments. The events of the past 18 months have clearly demonstrated that we have reached a new phase in the economic and regulatory development of the world.
