US insurer AIG has named six executives, including the appointment of an ex-Lehman Brothers lawyer as general counsel.

US insurer American International Group (AIG) has named six executives, including the appointment of an ex-Lehman Brothers lawyer as general counsel.

Thomas Russo, ex-vice chairman of Lehman Brothers and chief legal officer of Lehman Brothers Holdings, has been named executive vice-president of legal, compliance, regulatory affairs and government affairs and general counsel. Russo joins AIG from the New York office of Patton Boggs, where he served as senior counsel.
