Spanish insurance group Mapfre recorded a net result of Eu937m ($1.3bn) in 2009, a 2.9% increase over 2008.

Spanish insurance group Mapfre recorded a net result of Eu937m ($1.3bn) in 2009, a 2.9% increase over 2008. The chairman, José Manuel Martínez, stated in a shareholders speech it is the group’s objective is to achieve revenues of Eu20bn in 2010.
