The world's first microinsurance fund, LeapFrog Investments, has beat its $100m target capitalisation, months ahead of schedule announcing a final close on $137m for investments in Africa and Asia.

The world's first microinsurance fund, LeapFrog Investments, has beat its $100m target capitalisation, months ahead of schedule announcing a final close on $137m for investments in Africa and Asia.
This is a record amount that makes LeapFrog the largest investor in microinsurance worldwide.
The fund also announced new investors including Flagstone Re, Scor, Ace Group, JP Morgan, TIAA-CREF, Soros Economic Development Fund, the IFC , KfW, and EIB, among others.
