UPDATED 2 DECEMBER. RMS has posted a comprehensive report on the 2010-2011 New Zealand Earthquake Sequence that is available under the ‘Scientific Information tab in the Lyttleton Earthquake Cat Update.
The report explores earthquake risk to the Canterbury region following the three main events in the 2010-2011 New Zealand earthquake sequence (i.e., M7.1 on September 4, 2010; M6.3 on February 22, 2011; and M6.0 on June 13, 2011). Key lessons for modeling and managing earthquake risk in New Zealand are presented.
